About Me
Hello! I’m Daniela
Clinical Psychologist │ Child Psychologist
After completing six years of university training, I received my Master of Clinical Psychology from the Humboldt University in Berlin/Germany (2009). I began my career working in a psychiatric clinic for patients with anxiety disorders overseas. In Australia, I have been employed in the mental health sector as case manager and team leader for a non-for-profit organisation and have worked several years as child psychologist in a private practice before I founded Mindful Growth Psychology.
I am passionate about working with children and adolescents and their families, and empowering people to achieve to their fullest potential. I have a special interest in children’s mental health, assessment of developmental disorders and specific learning disorders, treatment of anxiety, depression, suicide prevention and trauma, and grief counselling. I work from a humanistic, person centered and strengths-based approach, and have trained extensively in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Client-Centered Therapy, Trauma-focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
